Thai immigration authorities have arrested a 26-year-old Ukrainian national in Phuket who was wanted under an INTERPOL Red Notice in connection with an alleged cryptocurrency investment fraud scheme.
According to investigators, the suspect was linked to a group that allegedly used a fake cryptocurrency investment platform and Telegram communications to persuade victims to invest funds fraudulently. Following the arrest, authorities revoked the individual’s visa and began extradition procedures while enquiries continue into potential additional victims.
