Philippine authorities have confirmed that an application has been submitted for an INTERPOL Red Notice in respect of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
The request is linked to efforts to locate the individual following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court (ICC), which concerns allegations of crimes against humanity in connection with anti-drug operations conducted between 2016 and 2018.
Officials stated that the Red Notice application is one of the legal mechanisms available to support the search for the individual, who has not appeared in public since 14 May 2026.
If issued, a Red Notice would be circulated through INTERPOL’s channels to member countries, requesting law enforcement authorities worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest the individual pending extradition or other legal proceedings.
Philippine authorities have indicated that efforts continue to determine the individual’s whereabouts.
