Philippine authorities have renewed efforts to secure an INTERPOL Red Notice for former Philippine congressman Zaldy Co. The Philippine Interior Secretary, Jonvic Remulla confirming that he will travel to Lyon, where INTERPOL is headquartered, to follow up on the Red Notice request that was submitted in April 2026.
Mr Co is wanted in the Philippines in connection with a corruption case involving alleged kickbacks from government flood control projects. He is among several individuals facing charges relating to approximately PHP 7.4 billion in alleged illicit payments. Philippine authorities have previously reported that Mr Co had travelled across Europe and was last known to be in Prague, in the Czech Republic.
