Maria Cronin and Neil Swift facilitate White Collar Crime Roundtable

Partners Maria Cronin and Neil Swift facilitated discussions at a White Collar Crime Roundtable held in Copenhagen alongside this year’s International Bar Association Annual Conference.

Curated by Global Legal Post and hosted at Gorrissen Federspiel’s Copenhagen office, the roundtable brought together private practice lawyers, in-house counsel and compliance professionals to discuss the challenges shaping today’s global white collar crime landscape.

The discussion built on themes explored in the recently launched Global Legal Post White Collar Crime Comparative Guide, including the England & Wales chapter authored by Peters & Peters.

The session explored a range of issues facing organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions, including the role of corporate culture in promoting compliance, developments in cross-border investigations, evolving anti-bribery and corruption enforcement priorities, and the practical challenges of responding to whistleblower reports.

The roundtable also featured insights from Will Phua, Head of Compliance Operations at A.P. Moller-Maersk, on fostering a strong compliance culture across a global business and managing risk throughout complex supply chains.

Drawing on their experience advising clients on business crime, investigations and regulatory matters, Maria and Neil facilitated discussions on the legal, regulatory and practical considerations facing companies as enforcement priorities continue to evolve worldwide.
