A significant High Court win for our clients

We are pleased to announce a robust and hard-fought victory on behalf of the Claimants in FP Redhill Ltd v Patel & Others, in which the High Court delivered a comprehensive judgment exposing the misuse of over £20 million invested in UK property development projects through systematic dishonesty.

The Court found that:

  1. The Defendant directors dishonestly extracted investor funds, though, among other means, inflated and fabricated commissions far above market norms.
  2. A substantial planning scheme was a sham project, underpinned by back-dated agreements and invoices for work never undertaken.
  3. Other entities were used as conduits for knowing receipt and dishonest assistance, diverting monies back to the directors rather than advancing the projects.

The decisive judgment vindicates our clients and clarifies the application of Ivey v Genting in complex commercial fraud claims.
