Peters & Peters secures another removal from UK sanctions list

In April 2023, the UK government imposed sanctions on a number of individuals, including Tatiana Evtushenkova.

Following submissions made by Peters & Peters to the UK government challenging the lawfulness of its decision to sanction her, a court action was filed and, following the service of grounds and evidence, the government de-listed Ms Evtushenkova on 22 September 2025 and amended their earlier press release to reflect the true position. This represents a significant and notable result. Of the 13 de-listings by the UK Government under Russia sanctions, Peters and Peters LLP have now acted in 5 of the cases.

The core Peters & Peters team was Senior Partner, Michael O’Kane, Senior Associate, Fred Kelly, and Associates Zainab Bhadelia and Ciara Murphy. The fantastic counsel team instructed in relation to the court action were Maya Lester KC and Malcolm Birdling of Brick Court Chambers.
