Peters & Peters announces membership of the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse

Peters & Peters is proud to announce its membership of the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA), reinforcing the firm’s commitment to being the best possible employer for its people.

EIDA works with employers to support the implementation of effective internal policies on domestic abuse, while raising awareness and signposting to up-to-date resources. Domestic abuse is a workplace issue, and employers have a responsibility to safeguard the wellbeing of their employees.

By becoming a member of EIDA, Peters & Peters is committed to:

    • Promoting clear domestic abuse policies and guidance, creating a safe environment for those affected to come forward
    • Appointing and training domestic abuse champions across the firm
    • Ensuring employees are aware of, and able to access, appropriate support

Partner Champion, Jasvinder Nakhwal, commented:

“Peters & Peters cares about supporting its people, both professionally and personally. Becoming a member of EIDA reflects our commitment to maintaining a culture in which all our people feel safe and supported, especially when they are amid difficult personal circumstances.”

Speaking about our commitment, Sharon Livermore MBE said:

“Domestic abuse is a workplace issue because, for many victims, work may be the only place they feel safe enough to reach out. When colleagues know how to recognise the signs, respond with compassion, and refer effectively, it can truly change, and even save lives. I’m really looking forward to delivering this session at Peters & Peters, where together we can make a real and lasting difference.”
