Our values

Planet

As a responsible business, we are mindful of our impact on the planet and we seek to minimise that impact where we can, whether in relation to the energy and materials we consume, our business related travel or the waste we generate. We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment, reusing materials where possible and recycling waste that we generate.

Our dedicated Facilities Management team works with key partners, including our landlord (which has responsibility for our office in London) and our suppliers to ensure they are aware of our ambitions to minimise our impact on the environment. We actively monitor our carbon emissions and we are reviewing what action can be taken to reduce those emissions under our control.

We offset all non-client flights through Clear, which funds carbon-reduction projects, and continually reviews travel policies to minimise emissions.

We recycle plastics, glass, metal, used stationery, toners, ink cartridges and food waste, in line with our building’s zero landfill policy. We recycle all our paper waste with an ISO 14001 accredited and carbon neutral certified company.  We provide battery recycling facilities onsite and actively encourage our colleagues to use them.

We recognise the benefits of combining volunteering for our colleagues with positive environmental action. We have held a number of beach cleaning activities and are looking to repeat these in the future.

Alongside our Facilities Management team, we have an active Green Team which meets regularly to identify and implement initiatives that will support our wider environmental ambitions and communicate environmentally friendly tips and suggestions to colleagues.

We are members of the Legal Sustainability Alliance. The LSA is the leading sustainability network for law firms and the UK legal sector.  Our membership allows us to collaborate and share best practice with other member firms, taking positive steps to improve the environmental sustainability of our operations and to measure, manage and reduce our carbon emissions.
