Ciara Murphy


Associate

Ciara is an Associate in our Business Crime & Investigations department. She advises both individuals and organisations on a broad range of complex UK and cross-border criminal and regulatory matters.

Since joining Peters & Peters in 2019 as a Paralegal in the Business Crime and Investigations Department, Ciara has gained extensive experience in handling high-profile and sensitive cases. She regularly acts in criminal investigations and proceedings, private prosecutions and sanctions matters and has represented clients in the Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court and Court of Appeal.

 

Having trained across both departments at the firm, Ciara has experience working on matters with parallel criminal and civil proceedings. Much of Ciara’s work has an international element and has included involvement in INTERPOL and extradition matters, and matters involving mutual legal assistance requests.

 

Prior to qualifying, Ciara undertook a three-month secondment in-house at Marylebone Cricket Club, gaining a wide range of experience in commercial and transactional work, as well as assisting with employment, data protection, and compliance matters.
