Samantha qualified as a New Zealand Barrister and Solicitor in 2022, specialising in criminal defence. She is an experienced courtroom advocate, having run both judge-alone and jury trials, and appeared on appellate matters in the Court of Appeal and High Court of New Zealand, relating to pre-trial decisions, bail, conviction and sentence. Samantha has worked on cases relating to organised crime, serious violence, fraud, drugs, and sexual offending.

Since joining the firm, Samantha has focused on corporate criminal liability in complex investigations and prosecutions, including cross-border criminal investigations. 

Samantha graduated from the University of Auckland with a conjoint degree in Law (Honours) and Arts (Criminology and Sociology). She has multiple published articles, in the New Zealand Law Journal (NZLJ) and the University of Auckland Law Review (AULR).
