Peters & Peters will be co-hosting an event with Ali & Co at Egypt Arbitration Days entitled ‘Arbitration and the new world order: what’s next…?’
The panel will explore the growing tension between key principles of international arbitration, neutrality, party autonomy, and enforceability, and the expanding reach of anti-corruption laws and economic sanctions. In today’s complex legal landscape, arbitration increasingly raises issues around arbitrability, due process, payment restrictions, and award enforcement. As public policy evolves across jurisdictions, legal practitioners must navigate ethical obligations, procedural fairness, and client interests without compromising the integrity of the arbitration process.
Vlad Meerovich and Emma Ruane will join a panel with Dr Haytham Ali of Ali & Co, Diane Okoko of Marcus Okoko and Joe Durkin of Burford Capital.
The event will take place at 2PM EEST on Monday 13th October 2025.
