P&P Breakfast Seminar update on US economic sanctions developments – Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, China and more – 19 June 2019
Peters & Peters will be hosting a breakfast seminar on the latest developments in US economic sanctions on Wednesday 19 June 2019.
Anna Bradshaw will chair the event in discussion with leading sanctions practitioners including but not limited to Maya Lester QC of Brick Court Chambers, Barbara D. Linney of BakerHostetler in Washington DC and Michael S. Casey of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP in London.
Discussions will focus on the potential repercussions for EU businesses of the significant number of recent developments in US sanctions – including but not limited to the Iran and Venezuela sanctions programmes, the activation of Title III of the Helms Burton Act and related EU blocking statute implications, the addition of Huawei to the Entity List, and legislation recently introduced in the US Congress that would impose sanctions on persons engaging in certain trade with China and would strengthen Russia sanctions.
