Partner Anna Bradshaw is quoted in The Times about the controversy surrounding the appointment of the Head of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office

Partner Anna Bradshaw tells The Times that the European Public Prosecutor’s Office was “a unique and entirely novel beast”.  Anna noted that there is already disagreement over what offences should fall within its remit and uncertainty over whether they will remain limited to crimes affecting the EU’s budget, commenting: “there are already calls for its powers to be extended to terrorism and organised crime before it’s up and running and before anyone knows how successful it will be”.  Anna points out that although Britain has not signed up to be part of the EPPO, British nationals could still be caught up in proceedings. “The controversy has been compounded by the chaos of the appointment of the figurehead, the chief prosecutor.
