Franziska Christen is an Associate in Peters & Peters’ Business Crime Department.
Franziska originally joined Peters & Peters in January 2015 as a research assistant to an expert on human rights in criminal proceedings instructed in a multi-billion-dollar international investment arbitration. Since completing her training contract in August 2018, she has gained broad experience in advising clients in relation to INTERPOL red notices, data subject access requests, money laundering, bribery and corruption and regulatory issues.
The majority of Franziska’s cases involve cross-border investigations and proceedings in multiple jurisdictions. In the UK, she represents clients being investigated and prosecuted by the SFO, NCA and FCA.
Franziska graduated with a first-class degree in History from King’s College London and studied for a Masters degree at Oxford University before completing the GDL at City University. Prior to joining the firm, Franziska worked as an intern at the Swiss Mission to the European Union in Brussels and Amnesty International’s United Nations Office in Geneva.
Franziska is a native German speaker. She also speaks intermediate French and basic Spanish.
