Trainee Solicitor

Charlotte is a Trainee in our Business Crime & Investigations department.

Charlotte works on a variety of cases, including freezing orders, asset tracing, and debt recovery.

Prior to joining Peters & Peters in September 2022, Charlotte was a fully accredited Police Station Representative and spent three years defending individuals facing criminal allegations in police interviews under caution. Charlotte has represented clients under investigation for a variety of criminal offences including large-scale conspiracy to supply drugs, VAT fraud, sexual offences, murder, and cross-border prosecutions relying on EncroChat evidence.

In her previous role, Charlotte worked as a Paralegal and Office Manager in a law firm of criminal defence specialists, where she gained experience of complex criminal fraud and asset tracing cases, as well as serious general crime.

Charlotte holds a master’s degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Oxford, and she worked with the European Space Agency and the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (National Institute for Space Research, Brazil), before turning to a career in law. Charlotte obtained her legal qualifications from the University of Law.

Charlotte is a mentor to university students in the Oxford Women in Business International Mentorship Programme.
