Brian McDonald

Brian McDonald, IT Director (and P&P chess champion): from the ground floor to the top

I joined as a general office assistant and it was a good, steady job. Within six months, the IT department was looking to expand and I expressed an interest. I got the job, and took it from there.

I gained experience and I was lucky enough for Peters & Peters to give me access to more formal training courses.

I’ve seen the firm grow and benefitted from the culture – friendly people, upbeat, efficient, supportive.

The lawyers really appreciate the business professionals. There’s no ‘us and them’ and whether you are in IT, Finance, a PA, Facilities, HR or Marketing, you are treated as one of the team. We all push in the same direction and have the same drive for the firm.

In a firm of this size you get the right amount of exposure, responsibility and support to go forwards and grow in your role.
