Senior partner and head of Commercial Litigation/Commercial Fraud. Specialises in heavyweight and complex trust litigation and disputes and international asset tracing and recovery. Strong experience of cross border claims, crisis management and fraud/regulatory related insolvency litigation.
Keith trained at Peters & Peters and became a partner here in 1983. He became Senior Partner on 1 May 2005.
Keith specialises in commercial, regulatory and insolvency litigation, and heads up the specialist civil fraud team at Peters & Peters. He has extensive experience of UK and international asset tracing, including the use of emergency relief procedures, and is often involved in multi jurisdictional actions in the USA, continental Europe and worldwide. He represents both individuals and major corporate clients in Companies Act and Financial Services and Markets Act investigations and prosecutions, and is widely recognised as one of the UK's leading lawyers in civil fraud.
In recent years he has led the teams involved in the international asset tracing on behalf of the shareholders of Banco Noroeste of Brazil and for the NHS counter-fraud service in high profile litigation against a number of pharmaceutical companies.
He lectures and has delivered papers on financial regulation, insider trading, money laundering, whistleblowing, international asset tracing, abuse of process, jurisdictional issues and media coverage of high-profile trials.
Keith is Vice President d'Honneur of the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA) and founding past president of AIJA Commercial Fraud Commission . He is a member of the International Bar Association and the British Italian Lawyers' Association. Keith is ranked as an expert in Legal Experts 2008.
