Peters & Peters act for leading Yemeni businessman Shaher Adbulhaq. Mr Adbulhaq’s son, Farouq Abdulhaq, is wanted on allegations of the murder of Norwegian student Martine Vik Magnussen, whose body was found in the basement of luxury apartments in London’s West End, in March 2008. Farouq Abdulhaq is reported to have fled to Yemen, a country which does not extradite its citizens and with which the UK does not have an extradition treaty.A recent inquest in Londonreturned a verdict of unlawful killing. The case has attracted a high level of publicity and Peters & Peters have been active is seeking a resolution to the situation through legal and diplomatic channels.
