Peters & Peters, acted on behalf of the shareholders of a Brazilian Bank, Banco Noroeste and obtained an Order for summary judgment from the Vice Chancellor for the excess of US $290 million against some of these responsible for one of the world’s largest money laundering frauds.
Between 1995 and 1997, Banco Noroeste, a bank operating from Sao Paulo in Brazil, was defrauded of US $ 290 million. Those responsible included a corrupt former senior employee of the bank and a number of Nigerian nationals.
