Peters & Peters successfully defended a senior company executive and his wife charged with offences of being drunk on an aircraft and interfering with cabin crew in the performance of their duties contrary to the Air Navigation Order 2000, and one other offence, which were alleged to have taken place on a transatlantic flight. Following submissions at the close of the prosecution case the jury were directed to acquit the husband first defendant. At retrial his wife, was acquitted of one of two remaining offences on the indictment, and the prosecution offered no evidence in relation to the other.
