The 2012 Conference will consider a general overview of the European legal framework for combating corruption, highlighting the recent EU anti-corruption and anti-fraud strategy and also concentrate upon the topic of internal and external auditing in the context of the protection of the EU budget. The role, the power (and the limits) of control bodies such as the European Court of Auditors, OLAF and the European Commission in complex cases will also be scrutinised.
