Peters & Peters received recognition as a “Stand Out” firm for Dispute Resolution following the success of their strategy in the “defence of British Airways executives in a criminal cartel case”
The FT noted that “a strategy to negotiate with the UK Office of Fair Trading and the US Department of Justice ensured clients faced prosecution in the UK. Both clients were acquitted before a jury and, as a result, could not be extradited to face the same charges in the US. A review of the OFT and the criminal cartel offence followed the collapse of the case.” Head of Business Crime, Michael O’Kane and partner Jasvinder Nakhwal led the Peters & Peters team on this matter.
