NHS Price Fixing and Anti Cartel Litigation

Partners, Keith Oliver and Jonathan Tickner acted on behalf of long-standing client the Department of Health in three multi-million pound High Court actions brought against various pharmaceutical companies for alleged unlawful cartel arrangements.

This was in relation to the supply of generic drug Warfarin, Penicillin-based antibiotics and the anti-ulcer drug Ranitidine.  In excess of £34 million in settlement payments has been secured.

It is believed that these settlements represent the largest ever sum recovered for the NHS through civil actions.

The proceedings are widely reported in the national press.
